Chapter 7

The Moon and the Lesson of Humility

After a joyful feast, Ganesha stumbled, and the moon laughed at him in pride. Ganesha taught that beauty without humility leads to downfall, and even the shining moon had to learn reverence.

On one festive night, Ganesha had eaten with delight and was returning on his mouse vehicle. As he moved along, he stumbled, and the moon laughed proudly from the sky.

Ganesha did not react from vanity, but from dharma. He declared that pride in one's appearance blinds the heart, and the moon's beauty had made him careless and disrespectful.

Later, when the moon sought forgiveness, mercy softened the lesson. Devotees remember this story as a reminder to stay humble, however bright life may seem.
